Allah is Beautiful & Loves Beauty [Thuluth]

Beauty is something that is admired by all races, cultures and people. It is a quality that draws our attention, and a quality that we all long for. It is a quality that has permeated the Islamic tradition through art, the sciences, architecture, and much more. However, it’s limited to neither perception, looks nor glances, but can surpass beyond the surface to deep-seated attributes within something that make it pleasing to one’s self, remind one of the good, or simply give one an opportunity to reflect on that which is alluring, heavenly and elegant. In reality, however, beauty itself is a mere reflection of Allah’s perfect Beauty, something which He loves Himself, as is attested to by this hadith. This decal is thus rendered beautifully by Usadh Behiri to point to just that fact: that Allah possesses absolute beauty. Make this hadith a part of your home and remember to enhance, adorn, and beautify everything you do – your actions, words, dealings with family and others, etc – by remembering that your Lord is Beautiful and that He loves beauty.

Translation: Verily Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty.
